Coming from a background of makers and artisans, Nareg is obsessed with the minute details of leather craftsmanship.

 

With a Bachelor’s degree  in Graphic Design from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, his professional career began as a junior art-director at a boutique design agency (Clap Clap also known as “Grand Factory”) in Beirut, working primarily on online campaigns and communication for international electronic music events and festivals. Ranging from branding, furniture to set-up designs. 

 

He later worked as a creative director for a luxury hospitality design agency, BAAL (www.baal.com.lb). Developing the visual identity of the company, generating new collections for international luxury icons, such as One and Only, W Hotels, Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons,etc. And supervising production of furniture pieces at the in house ateliers. 

 

Having completed an MA in furniture design at Central Saint Martins, London. Gaar is the first personal furniture collection by the Lebanese-Armenian designer
